They warned me. They doubted me.

I Used to Think Hiking Was for Old People… Then This Happened 🥾🍫

When I was younger, I thought hiking was just for old people...boring and not for me. Fast forward a few years, and guess what? Now I’m one of them... and I’m obsessed. 😅

✨I love to travel alone but hiking? Well, that’s now the cherry on top. I enjoy disconnecting from the chaos and reconnecting with nature. 🌍 One of my favorite hikes was in Ecuador around a stunning crater lake.

✨ Surrounded by silence and beauty, I paused, took a deep breath, pulled out my secret hiking energizer (a Kinder Bueno, of course 🍫), and just smiled.

✨Younger me would’ve never believed that this “old people’s activity” would become one of my favorite activities.

✨Hiking is about connecting with yourself and teaches you patience, resilience, and how to enjoy peaceful moments. And you always have an excuse to eat chocolate because you need the energy, right? 🏞️

Is it worth it? Let’s find out...

✨The Galápagos are wild, raw, and full of magic, and apparently worth a $200 entrance fee. 😅

✨I always wanted to see the place Darwin wrote about, the one with giant tortoises, lava landscapes, and animals that don’t even blink when you get close.

✨I packed my bag, booked the ferry, handed over my $200, and went searching for answers (and sea lions).

✨Here’s what I found:

🌿 Nature untouched

🐦 Birds with blue feet

🤯Even though I’ve always been an adventurer, the Galápagos took me to a new level.

I felt a deep connection with nature, similar to what I experienced in Antarctica.
